Has Your Vehicle Been Affected in the Takata Airbag Recall?

Last month, nearly 34 million vehicles in the US were recalled by Takata, one of the world’s leading airbag suppliers. The decision affects vehicles by 10 different car manufacturers, generally made between the years 2002 to 2014. It is estimated that one in seven of the more than 250 automotive vehicles in the US will be recalled under the decision, making this the biggest automotive recall in our nation’s history.

Takata agreed to declare many of its airbags defective under pressure from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) after six deaths and more than 100 injuries were linked to the issue. In these incidents, killing passengers and drivers.

The problem lies largely in the airbag’s inflator, which can ignite with dangerous force and spray metal shards throughout the interior of the vehicle.

A personal injury attorney can provide you and your family with invaluable legal guidance, helping you to understand your rights and options in your unique circumstances. With an aggressive attorney on your side, you can stand up to massive corporations and their teams of top lawyers, while avoiding being bullied into an unfair settlement. With the help of your attorney, you may be able to obtain fair and just compensation for medical expenses, past and future lost wages and earning capacity, past and future pain and suffering, and punitive damages in the case of egregious misconduct.
